Biography
Marta Meszaros was born in 1998 in Lugano into a family of musicians, and began her piano studies at the age of six at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana music school with Sandro D’Onofrio. From 2014 to 2021 she studied with Anna Kravtchenko, under whose guidance she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music being awarded as best student at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana. In 2023 she completed the Master in Music Performance at the University of the Arts in Zürich in the class of Till Fellner. She perfected her skills with renowned masters such as Homero Francesch, Adrian Oetiker and Leonid Margarius.
She won several national and international competitions, including 3rd prize at the Concours d’interpretation musicale de Lausanne, 1st prize at the Swiss Youth Music Competition, and 1st prize at the international competition “Musica Insieme” in Musile di Piave (Italy).
Her concert activity takes her to perform at various international festivals, including Ticino Musica in Lugano, I concerti Ciani in Verbania, Musica e Medicina in Lecce, Associazione x MITO and Pianocity in Milan and, as a member of the ‘Duo Meszaros’ together with her cellist brother Sandro, at the Muri Kultur Festival.
She has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Chamber Orchestra of the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana under the direction of Pavel Berman and the United Soloists Orchestra under the direction of Arseniy Shkaptsov.
She was a member of the youth choir “Clairière” for many years, with whom she performed with renowned musicians such as Claudio Abbado, Marc Andreae and José Carreras.
Since 2023 she is correpetitor at the State Opera Stara Zagora in Bulgaria.
